Frequently Asked Questions

Can I still enter if I don't own a PayPal account?

Setting up a PayPal account is straightforward (please visit www.paypal.co.uk for more information) but if you would rather not set one up, we also accept payment for classes via cheque, Postal Order or direct bank transfer.

I'm not from the UK, can I still enter?

Horse Shows Online welcomes competitors worldwide, however if you are placed we ask for a small contribution towards international postage (depending on what you have won).

I own a couple of horses, can I enter them in the same class?

Please check the specific class information in the schedule.  Some classes permit you entering the same horse more than once and some do not.

Who judges the classes?

Judges are carefully selected on the basis of current equestrian qualification and/or experience with horses.  Sponsors often judge their own classes if they are from the equestrian field.

Where and when are results announced?

Results are announced as they come in by class, and are posted initially on the wall of Horse Shows Online's Facebook page.  Once all results are in, they are then posted on the website and available to view under “Results and Rankings”.  We try to encourage judges to post their results within 24 hours of entries closing, but it could take up to 48 hours to receive them.

How are prizes sent out?

Rosettes are sent out second class standard delivery, and this is included in the prize of the entry fee with UK entrants.  If Recorded Delivery is required, then entrants are encouraged to Email as soon as results are announced.  Any prizes provided by sponsors will be sent out directly from the sponsor unless stated otherwise.

I cannot see my entry on the website, what do I do?

Entries are not uploaded onto the website until the fee for the class is paid.  Once the entry fees are paid, please allow up to 72 hours for photos to be uploaded.  If after this time you still do not see your entry, please send an Email to horseshowsonline@hotmail.co.uk.

Do we get any feedback from the judges?

Horse Shows Online encourages judges to give feedback to placings, however if no feedback is given, or you require more detailed feedback, this can be done at the judge's discretion by Emailing horseshowsonline@hotmail.co.uk.
