Bex Woolf
HSO Judge

Hi, I'm Bex and I have been a sponsor/judge for HSO for nearly 10 years now! I have been riding for over 28 years now and over the years have done a bit of everything. However, when I bought my current mare, I decided to focus my attention on my main passion...dressage. Although we do still like to do a bit of jumping and cantering round the beautiful Cotswold countryside. I bought Spice as an unbacked 3yo and we are currently competing successfully at Medium, and working at Advanced Medium. My favourite achievement with Spice so far was qualifying for the National Championships at Hartpury in 2019 at Novice, where we came 6th! I have recently had baby number two so between a newborn, a toddler, running my browband business 'Bex's Browbands and Collars' and competing Spice, life is pretty hectic, but the ultimate dream is to keep working up the levels and get in a tailcoat on her! I have loved judging with HSO over the years. I have probably sponsored every style of class going and I just love seeing all the various breeds, sizes and shapes entered each month. Most months you all make the decision incredibly difficult!

Zarreen Burton

HSO Judge

I have been around horses for over 35 years and spent many of my teenage years working at a local riding school where I gained a lot of experience being being taught regularly by a BHSII and riding a vast amount of different horses and ponies, from advanced ex event horses to youngsters, to wilful ponies! Whilst working there I trained and passed my BHS Stage One and Riding and Road Safety exams.  I also spent many years competing in different disciplines, including dressage, showing, cross country and show jumping.  Show jumping has always been my passion though and I am hoping to juggle family life with competing my current horse, Bobbi, in the near future.

Becky Webb
HSO Judge

Hi, I’m Becky and I have been a judge for HSO for a couple of years now. I’m a dressage rider at heart with over 20 years experience in the equine industry. I have worked in riding schools and dressage yards whilst doing my degree in equine science where I did my coaching and judging training. I have been riding since I was 4. My dream was to ride in the grand national with one of the horses that lived in the field behind my grandparents. Instead I fell in love with dressage at a young age and have been chasing that passion ever since. I am inspired by Carl Hester and Olivia Towers and quite often use their tips and training ideas in my own riding. I competed up to elementary and trained towards medium level with my old mare who saddle had to stop due to injury. I am now currently re schooling my new Welsh section d mare to hopefully the same level, if not higher. As a judge for horse shows online, I absolutely love seeing the different and unique partnerships that enter both the dressage and photo shows. I aim to give the most constructive and encouraging feedback I can give as I absolutely hate when judges are negative or discouraging. I fully believe all achievements should be praised and rewarded no matter how small they are. When I’m not with the horses or judging, I am with my second passion in life, my wonderful little shop Goomoo that sells a variety of ethically sourced and unusual products that don’t cost the Earth. Goomoo is also a regular sponsor of the photo classes, providing a small selection of prizes and treats to class winners.

HSO Judge

Hi!  I have been riding since I was 7 years old.  I got my first horse, a yearling, when I was 16 years old.   The ponies in the photo with me are Ellie (left, baby) and Lizzie (right, mummy) sadly I lost them both in 2019.  I enjoyed all round activities with both horses, and competed up to novice level in British Dressage competitions with Ellie.

Kerry Mackay

HSO Judge

Hi, I’m Kerry, founder of Inchneuk Show Squad and the newest addition to the HSO judging panel. I’ve been riding since I was a baby and started out on a fabulous Shetland pony called Pepsi Max. I’ve dabbled in dressage and jumping throughout my life and in the past we at Inchneuk Show Squad also bred Hanoverians. But now our sole focus and main passion is showing. We have a small army of beautiful Welsh ponies, a Shetland & thoroughbred crosses that we currently show. This year our biggest achievement was qualifying for STARS Champions of Champions at Aintree which will be our 2 year old Welsh Ds biggest show to date. And our first televised appearance! I have currently started judging unaffiliated showing here in Scotland and I hope to carry on my knowledge over into the Horse Shows Online classes.
